In the midst of New York Fashion Week, it’s easy to get absorbed in the spring trends showing on the runways. But since the Fall season is just about to start, now is the time to re-evaluate and update your wardrobe. For Fall 2017, there are so many chic and timeless trends, and I’m loving them! Below are some of my fave trends as well as my top picks for easy wardrobes updates that will have staying power beyond this season.
Suiting – Make it easy and focus on the jacket. A blazer is a classic wardrobe piece that can be worn to the office and casually. Get it in a luxurious fabric like velvet (another big trend this season) or silk satin and it is completely versatile for more formal occasions.
Red – I don’t usually like to wear red, but for an accessory, I’m all for it! Added bonus, this one’s in velvet…
Denim – Jeans are an absolute wardrobe essential, so get it in a variety of flattering styles to work with many occasions and looks. My fave styles: distressed/ripped, boyfriend, clean cut
Biker or Moto Jacket – A moto jacket will always be a chic, edgy piece to add to any wardrobe. Works best contrasting a more feminine piece or look. If you don’t have one, get it now!! Have the one on the right. Love its mix of traditional with updates such as the stand up collar and cleaner lines.
Boot/Bootie – What is Fall without a boot? This season it’s about slouchy, over-the-knee, velvet and a sock bootie.
Slouchy tunic/top – Love the relaxed and effortless look of these tops.
The one-shoulder top below is not a new trend for this season, but it’s still a feminine and fashion forward top that is worth a look!
