Back in New York and back to my regular routine, it’s weird to think that I was in Paris just last week for PFW (Paris Fashion Week SS18). Although I have travelled to Paris many times in the past, this was just my third trip for PFW. It was as exciting (and crazy busy) as the first two, but also very different.
In addition to going to some fashion shows and being a tourist in between ;), I also attended Premiere Classe (an accessories trade show), visited ‘A Showroom in Paris‘ (showroom of select designers from around the world), and had the special opportunity to meet with and interview Isabelle Prat, designer of La Môme Bijou (a fave Parisian accessories brand!). A highlight of the trip was visiting Isabelle Prat’s workspace/studio in Paris. I’ll be posting on her collection as well as the visit/interview in a later post, so stay tuned!
Throughout fashion week I posted my daily experiences (more personal and unedited) in Instagram Stories. So if you’re not following me on Ig, why not? Just kidding, but actually not… I’m serious. ;/ Anyway, I’ll be posting more detailed, event/brand-specific posts on this blog over the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye out!
Above and below are some photos I took during my trip. Join me on Memory Lane until I upload the rest of my PFW posts! ?
This Paris fashion week kicked off with a cocktail party at Le Klay Saint Sauveur hosted by the fabulous Obvious.ly team in Paris. So much fun and très chic, thank you (Caroline, Joy, Manon… I mean you!) for your warm welcome!!
Some influencers I met up with at the cocktail party: Ymene (mlleymenekachaou.com), Caitlin (www.beautyandcolour.com), Yuliya (jolimentblog.com), Ashley (on-the-10.com)
View from my hotel window in St-Germain-des-Prés.
Can’t make a visit to Paris without visiting and maybe picking something up 😉 at Goyard!
Shangri-la Hotel in Paris, the venue for the Redemption fashion show…
Palais de Tokyo:
Gorgeous fountain (Fontaine des Innocents) in the 1st arrondissement that I accidentally stumbled upon as I took a wrong turn leaving a show.
Rue du Dragon:
Le Bon Marché: Another fave place to shop… my mother ship in Paris. Make sure you stop by La Grande Epicerie (gourmet grocery store) during your visit!
Amazing view from the studio of La Môme Bijou… More photos in a post to come!
