In the midst of this snowy and unusually cold winter we’re having in New York, I looked forward to see some more of Mara Hoffman’s signature colorful and vivid prints for her Fall 2015 collection during New York Fashion Week. And she did not disappoint. Adding another element to her designs for Fall 2015 by incorporating a theme of Star Wars to her collection, Mara Hoffman effortlessly blended boho-chic, for which she is known, with futuristic inspiration though her fabrics and intense detailing.
Referencing Luke Skywalker with a strong palette of whites, creams, and camels; the collection was also rich in geometric prints, and textures and details like embroidery, tufted chiffon, and gold beading.
Above and below are my fave looks from the collection. Especially love the coat below. The pattern, a “textural landscape”, is perhaps in reference to the landscapes of Tatooine, the planet of Luke Skywalker. Made of tufted chiffon, it interestingly resembles fur…so cool.
A gorgeous and flattering geometric print.
Another standout piece, love how this cream colored dress is elegantly relaxed yet chic with the keyhole cutout in the front and back and the tall boots.
