Holiday Entertaining Faves: Dining Room and Bar

Hi! Hope you’re all having a great week! Recently, I’ve been setting up my dining room/ bar area for the holidays. Can’t believe it’s already that time, right?! I love it, though. With the festive spirit and decor as well as more excuses to dress up ;), the holiday season is my favorite time of year.

As you can see from the photos, I haven’t finished my table set-up, but since Thanksgiving is just a couple days away, I wanted to share some of my holiday entertaining faves for your dining room and bar right now. Most of these pieces can be purchased online and picked up in-store in case you need a last minute update (or even just a hostess gift!).

Dining Room

I prefer my home decor to be similar to my personal style: minimal and luxe. So for my table, I like to keep it pretty simple and fuss-free with chargers instead of placemats and a runner instead of a tablecloth. Haven’t decided yet on the plates that I will use (probably just these white ones), but love the chic simplicity of these stainless steel chargers. This runner is an elegant way to add a festive touch. Now, I just need to add some votive candles and a low floral center piece, and I’ll be done with the table.

If you need a buffet for your dining room, love this one that I bought last year. Add a modern (and fortunately not very expensive) mirror above it to balance its more delicate and ornate style.

 

Bar

Having a functional bar set is key to entertaining. Have one with style and you’re sure to enjoy it for many years. Love this serving tray, traditional French cocktail shaker, and of course you’ll need these tools. This month I updated my bar with a full set of martini glasses. Love these since they are moderately priced yet still classic. Perfect for a party! I also bought this old-school/traditional decanter and matching glasses. Made of glass instead of crystal, it is much more affordable, but still beautiful.

If you need a cabinet to store your barware, I love this one since it completely opens up and has wheels so you can move it around as needed. I bought mine many years ago. It has since been updated with silver hardware which I love.
