Get Ready to Entertain for the Holidays

With Thanksgiving coming up within the week, it’s time to get ready to entertain for the holidays!

I love the idea of entertaining, but unfortunately don’t have the time to do it very often. So when I do, I try to make sure I enjoy the experience by making it as effortless as possible. One of the ways I do this is by making sure that I have certain basic items in my home that can be decorative as well as practical when having guests. I try to keep the pieces versatile for a variety of occasions including every day use.

 

Top picks for easy home entertaining

A bar cart adds instant chic to home entertaining. Even if you don’t drink alcohol, you can hold/display any drink offering, tableware, hor d’oeuvres, flowers, etc.

Of course with a bar cart, good bar accessories finish off the look. Love the ones below as they are classic as well as modern and reasonably priced! Especially love the stainless steel tray to hold bottles/barware as it has the look of silver yet doesn’t tarnish. Also love the classic look of the cocktail glasses. The hatch design gives them the look of crystal without the high price tag or lead content 😉 .

 

For table settings and serveware, I like to keep the style minimal and colors neutral so it’s useful year-round. These are some basic yet elegant items that would also coordinate with any interior design style.

 

Since it’s the holiday season, the following items are decor items that can add a light, festive touch. Fill the glass hurricane candle holders with flameless birch candles and balsam potpourri or the potpourri with sugar pinecones. Place on a tabletop, buffet or entryway table for easy holiday inspired decor.
