With only 2 full weeks left before Christmas and today being Green Monday, now is THE time to get those decorations up as well as consider/buy those gifts if you haven’t already. So take advantage of those sales while shipping times are still in your favor!
Holiday Decorations
We have always purchased a real Christmas tree. I love that tree smell and the tradition of going to a tree lot to pick one out. Our tree went up at home over the weekend, but this year I tried out an artificial tree as well. After seeing so many beautiful “flocked” trees on instagram and on other blogs, I decided to get one for my studio/office for a festive touch as well as to test it out… 😉
There are so many great recommendations for King of Christmas trees, so I bought one right before Thanksgiving. Easy to set up, The snow flocking is beautiful and wasn’t too messy. There were some sprinkles on the floor while the tree was being assembled. Also, some may come off onto your clothes so don’t assemble it when you are fully dressed for an event, a least not with dark clothing! A quick sweep with a duster after assembling and that’s it. If you handle the branches, a few flakes may come off but I found it to be minimal. Love that the tree comes with a storage bag and long gloves to wear while fluffing out branches.
For my studio, I bought the 7.5′ flocked pre-lit tree in the slim width. The ceiling height is 10’+ so I found this tree height to be the perfect balance of tall enough to fill the space yet still manageable with plenty of room to add a star, etc. on top. Especially appreciate the width options as the “slim” option is perfect for smaller or more cramped spaces.
As you can see I haven’t fully decorated it yet as I was waiting for the ornaments to arrive when I took this photo, but with the lights, it’s pretty on it’s own.

Also, love their selection of shatter-proof ornaments like these silver ones. For this tree, I really wanted to go for a more vintage and understated look with blush ornament colors. The ones from Target sold out almost immediately so I chose these instead and love them. Can’t wait to finish putting them on and will be sharing my photos!
