In anticipation of New York Fashion Week(starts on Feb 6th!) where designers’ collections for Fall/Winter ’14 will be presented, I’ve been revisiting the looks from Pre-Fall ’14 as I look forward to what may come down the runway in a couple of days. [In case you didn’t know, Pre-Fall is the transitional collection that will take you from the Spring/Summer into Fall/Winter.] Generally, the Pre-Fall looks for 2014 were about practicality and comfort while maintaining a strong emphasis on femininity. There were slouchy suits, fluid fabrics or cuts, lots of lace detail and ruffles or pleats. Coats as well as sweaters had a dominant presence in this season which gave the collections a cozy and protective spirit. In essence, the looks of Pre-Fall ’14 are clothes that I will want and need to wear when the Fall approaches.
In addition to all the looks from Nº21(see my post here), the images above and below are my most favorite looks from the Pre-Fall season.
