Sole Serum and a Fave Clutch

Sole Serum flatlay

Prior to NYFW this past September, I received a bottle of Sole Serum complimentary for review.  Sole Serum is a natural oil-infused, pain-relieving lotion intended to help alleviate foot pain. Knowing that I would be wearing high heels for several hours for consecutive days during both New York and Paris fashion weeks, of course I was happy to give it a try!

Although Sole Serum is often applied before putting on your shoes, I wanted to see how it worked when my feet were already sore. I massaged it into the soles of my feet after wearing high heels for several hours and/or a full day.  With an active ingredient of lidocaine as well as lavender, peppermint and tea tree oils, the lotion was actually really soothing and helped my feet feel refreshed. 🙂  Another bonus is that it comes in a bottle small enough to fit in my clutch so that I can have it with me in case I need it during longer events.

In a previous blog post, I wrote about some of my high heel foot care essentials.  I am definitely adding Sole Serum to this kit!

Sole Serum Review and my Fave Valentino clutch

On another note, I’ve been thinking about clutches lately as we’ll be soon heading into the holiday season. With holidays come more events, so of course you need a good clutch. I really believe in investment pieces. By investment, I also mean a classic. I’m not saying that you always need to spend a lot, but once in a while (maybe even just once or twice) it’s better to wait and/or save up (or hustle) to get that really great item(within your means of course!) you love than a closet full of ‘not-so-great’. You know me, it’s all about the high-low price mix and focusing on style and quality.

So this bag is one of those investment pieces, for me at least. Got it a few years ago. Loved it then and love it now, each and every time I look at it. It’s a classic, great quality, and something I will be happy to use year after year. In fact, for the number of times I’ve used it, I’m sure it’s cost has been fully depreciated. Ha! 😉  Anyway, so that’s my 2 cents for today: get something you love that works for you or don’t get it at all!
