NYC Places to Go: Le District

Le District signage

Since I love French food and French-inspired fare in general, I’ve had several people recommend a visit to “a French market” called Le District in Lower Manhattan. After having it on my “to do” list for several months, I finally made the visit and was amazed. This “market” was a 30,000 square foot French marketplace comprised of restaurants(with outdoor dining), culinary specific stations (e.g. boulangerie, charcuterie, fromagerie, etc.), a grocery, and even a florist.

Opened last Spring, Le District is located at 225 Liberty Street in Brookfield Place in the financial district area of Lower Manhattan.

So if you are a foodie, a Francophile, like to discover new places, just like to eat (ok, that’s almost all of us…), or maybe you’re French; head over for a fun and unique gastronomic destination in NYC.
