Inspired by the idea of a modern day fairy tale, GEORGINE designer Georgine Ratelbrand sought to “re-imagine the traditional princesses, heroes and villains of the stories we have all grown up with but modernize them for the 21st Century”.
For Fall 2016 the collection exuded the well-known GEORGINE woman mix of femininity and confidence, but also included more looks of sweetness, whimsy and edgy/dark elements while remaining completely wearable. The show started with ready-to-wear day looks and evolved into evening looks that were sexy, fierce and above all, glamorous. Standout details and features which were also a recurring trend across the runways for Fall included tulle trim, velvet, subtle bows and fur.
