Today’s Beauty Pick – Korean Beauty Products

If you were intrigued about the hype surrounding Korean beauty products but haven’t tried any yet, now is a great time. It’s winter, it’s cold and a bit dreary, and so of course, the perfect time to experiment and pamper yourself while spending all that extra time indoors. A few months ago, I saw a post on rolala loves, a blog I follow, about the opening of TONYMOLY (a Korean beauty brand) in Manhattan. Excited to try and see some of these products in person, I headed over to their location on 32nd Street in Korea Town. Three shopping bags later (they were small I promise!) I was in beauty sampling bliss. With price points relatively low (just a few dollars for an eye patch or a mask, for example), the products are fun and target almost every beauty solution possible. And the best part is that they gave me a free sample to try an eye cream with snail mucin. Have you heard of this? I have to admit it’s sounds gross, but is supposed to be amazing. I have yet to try it, but will definitely let you know my thoughts when I do!
The store itself is teeny tiny, but packed with the most adorably packaged products. In fact, so cute that it looks like it is intended for the teen market. Maybe it is. But if it works for you, use it.
If you’re able to make a trip to k-town in Manhattan, you can also visit The Face Shop (also located in Chinatown) which is another Korean beauty brand store located across the street and down the block from TONYMOLY. Not in the NYC area?  Urban Outfitters is an easy way to find TONYMOLY in a US online shop.

Highly recommend it. I'm going to start some of their multi-step skincare routines…my skin really needs it this winter!
