Last week I was honored and delighted to attend the Luckyfabb Fashion and Beauty Blog Conference in Los Angeles. This was my first time attending Luckyfabb, so I wasn’t sure what to expect aside from the hype on twitter preceding the event. So now that I’m back home in NY and the conference, unfortunately, is now over, I’m happy to say that Luckyfabb truly was fabb…ulous (sorry to be corny, but it’s true!) and definitely worth the trip!
The conference was held at the swanky and gorgeous SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills which is probably the perfect backdrop for a fashion industry event. Designed by Phillippe Starck and home to the award winning restaurant ‘The Bazaar’ by José Andrés, the only downside of the hotel was the lighting! Overall, the hotel is dark even in the guest rooms so applying makeup accurately was quite a challenge…
Below are my pics of the hotel. Towards the end of the post I have some room pics which really show what I mean about the lighting!
Day 1 consisted of panel discussions such as ‘The Business of Blogging’ and ‘Creating a Voice of Authority’ led by notable industry leaders.
There were also discussions by Drew Barrymore, Kelly Osbourne, and Betsey Johnson(who looked amazing btw). Talk about girl power. Not only are these women smart, talented and successful, but they all truly seem to be nice, good people with a great sense of humor. Love them!
My outfit for Day1…
Day 2 focused on more directed and personalized advice in a smaller group setting in sessions such as ‘How to Pitch’ and ‘Styling: The Resources You Need’. But I have to admit that the highlight, and one of the most fun parts, of Day 2 was the ‘Brand Experiences’ where you get to meet the reps(and sometimes the designer/owner) of brands such as AGJeans, Covet Fashion, Yosi Samra etc.; try out their product; and even take some of it home!
But my absolute favorite part of the conference, even above all the learning, networking and gifting, was the opportunity to meet and share with some truly fabulous bloggers.

My room: beautiful, but dark!
There was even a roof top pool…but there was no way I was putting on a bathing suit! I’m from the East Coast, so we have a few more months to get ready for that!
