When I pick out shoes, they normally fall into 3 categories. 1. Functional: Do I need to be able to walk around all day in them? Do I need some extra height? etc. 2. Aesthetics: Will they work well with my wardrobe and complement my outfit choices? 3. Decorative: This is the fun category and the one that I’m particularly obsessed with now. These shoes are picked just for being pretty…at least to me… They are worn the way you might put on a piece of jewelry. Of course, I must be able to walk in them, but I’d be just as happy to display them on my bookshelf or in my closet!
Love how the shoes below are delicate in style and have an ankle strap that looks like a bracelet (ok, maybe not the B. Atwood shoes, but the fringe is gorgeous on the shoe!). These all definitely get my “Decorative” designation.

My Life While Shopping
March 1, 2013 at 12:44 amThese shoes are all to die for. I don't know how I'd choose! I love how you break your shoe purchases into categories. I've never thought about it that way. I guess I make my purchases based on color, style and "can't live without". Thanks for the Twitter comment!
