Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: My Haul + Reviews Part I

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Haul- Full ootd of J Crew blazer, white tee, Frame denim jeans, Jimmy Choo pumps

Hi! Just wanted to do a quick review on my clothing haul(so far) from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. In my last post I reviewed the moto jacket shown below.

Mackage black leather moto jacket

Another fave purchase from this sale is this blazer (I’m wearing it in the top photo.). Fitted and well-made, it is a classic piece and a wardrobe staple. Especially love the attention to details such as the lining, back vent, cuff-link buttons that actually work and a chic/sleek stand collar! Priced at $148, this is a must-buy! Sizes are selling out fast, but if you keep checking sometimes the sizes get replenished due to returns, etc.

These are some tops I purchased at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Didn’t love all of them, but I did love that all the prices are less than $100! Read on for my review.

My Haul, 4 tops from Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017

From L to R: This cold shoulder tie-sleeve sweatshirt is a great mix of casual and fashion-forward. I love the tie-sleeves which make it feminine. The length is perfect: long enough to cover my stomach in low-rise jeans but not too long… Also love this incredibly comfy sweatshirt/pullover. It has a pretty color contrast of shell (blush pink tone) and blue, and love its retro sporty-chic look. This cold-shoulder tee was ok, but the material was a little thin and the fit is snug so very unforgiving. Also didn’t like that the neckline was so high. I’ll be returning this top as well as the last top. This last top with tie sleeves had rounded shoulders which gave it an unstructured look that was not flattering on me. In addition, the combination of ties on the sleeves and back and the button down style just made it look like there was too much going on. Not sure that I would be comfortable wearing this for longer than a few hours.

Another item in my haul is the Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots. They sold out very quickly online, but I happened to see one in the store. If you had your eye on these boots, keep checking back both online and in-store in case there is a return. I love them! Comfortable, they also fit my calf perfectly and are incredibly leg lengthening and flattering!

Check back soon for my beauty and home category picks and more reviews on my haul.  Oh, and don’t forget that the sale ends on August 6th with prices returning to their original prices on the 7th!
