Gym Bag Essentials

So here it is… my new gym bag. Not sure if it’ll make me exercise more, but it will make me happier going to the gym! Love this bag for many things including a ventilated shoe compartment, interior pockets, and convenient exterior pockets for quick “grab” items like a cell phone. But the standout feature of this bag that makes it different from most other gym bags is that it is edgy cool in metallic while having a minimalistic design style. 

As much as I love this bag though, it is what’s in the inside that matters more as I head over to the gym. See below for my Gym Bag Essentials:

The jacket and pants are Zella, my fave activewear line due to its quality and super flattering fit. A simple tank (similar here or here) that lets you move without being constricting or too revealing is another of my clothing must-haves. These earphones are sweat and water resistant and are smaller in size to stay in your ear better as you move. I also keep extra hair ties, some conveniently packaged make-up (for just in case) like this one from Trish McEvoy, and a small wallet to hold my gym ID, etc. Of course, hydration is key to a good workout, so a good, easy-to-clean water bottle is a necessity. Love this glass one from Life Factory.

And perhaps the most unexpected and important item that I have in my gym bag is a spray bottle of Squelch. Have you heard of it? Squelch is a natural, scentless odor remover. I received a sample of it recently, and it is amazing. It really works and works on any type of odor! I first tried it on a pair of smelly sneakers (I won’t reveal who they belong to, but you know who you are! :)) in my mudroom. After a few sprays and the stink was gone! The best part was that it did not cover up the smell with a perfume or scent. It just got rid of it. Ever since this first trial with Squelch, I like to keep a bottle of it in my gym bag for occasional use to keep it fresh. I also like to have it with me in case the gym locker smells, because sometimes they do…

Not just in my gym bag, Squelch is also an essential in my car, kitchen and cleaning supplies closet. Because of its conveniently small size, I also sometimes throw it in my purse, because it can remove wine and coffee stains. Love it!
