I never really believed the importance of a serum until I tried Trish McEvoy’s Beauty Booster Serums. These are amazing.
First of all, both contain hyaluronic acid (a naturally occurring chemical compound in your body) which is supposed to be a substance short of miraculous to attract and retain moisture. The eye serum promises to decrease the appearance of fine lines, darkness, and puffiness while hydrating, brightening, and firming the under-eye skin. I’m not sure it actually does all of these things in a measurable or long-term way, but one thing in particular I did notice was that the puffiness under my eyes diminished more than I have ever seen it before. And I have tried tons of eye treatments and moisturizers formulated to reduce puffiness. For this result alone, I’m hooked. Also, my under-eye skin looks instantly hydrated and brighter right after applying the serum. Love the Beauty Booster Serum for the face because it’s an effective way to moisturize/hydrate dry spots without globbing on moisturizer which will just make your makeup slide off. A godsend this past winter! Also, it’s very light and didn’t make me break out (very important for me!). But my favorite use of the face serum was to pat it on in the middle of the day or before going out at night to “refresh” the skin and make-up.
The serums are a bit pricey, but you really only need a few drops so they should last awhile. For me, especially with the incredibly cold winter we had, worth the investment!
