A contour color applied to the hollows of your cheeks is a great way to highlight and add definition to your cheekbones (and minimize unwanted facial fullness while you’re at it!). I particularly love NARS blush in Zen to contour my cheeks. Recommended to me by a make-up artist, Zen is particularly popular since it goes well with many skin tones. Although the color is subtle enough to use everyday (just make sure you blend in well!), I generally use it for special occasions and evening events to add more definition to my face and finish my look.
A quick and easy way to apply is to use a contour brush like the NARS Artisan Kabuki contour brush shown above. Suck in your cheeks and, using the narrow edge of your contour brush, apply the color on the line (the hollow) that forms below your cheekbone. Blend in. Apply your favorite bronzer and/or blush, and you’re done.
Cheek contour, a make-up bag must!
