Supima
The Supima fashion show is a Design Competition between students from four of America’s top design schools: PRATT, RISD, FIT and SCATT. Two finalists are chosen from each of the schools and are asked to create a capsule collection of women’s evening wear gowns from Supima denims, knits, corduroys, twills and shirting. These collections are then presented during NYFW at Lincoln Center where the winner is selected by a distinguished panel of judges, and awarded $10,000.
This year the winner was Morgan Selin from RISD. She is shown in the photo on the left with Rachel Zoe, this year’s host of the competition, and on the right with the models wearing her designs.
Desigual
With striking prints, graphic black and white, and an abundance of color, the Desigual RTW collection for Spring ’14 was happy, fun and carefree. Their motto, La Vida es Chula (Life is Cool), was demonstrated not only in their bold looks, but was also embodied in the enthusiastic and spirited attitude of the models who brought the looks to life!
